Steps to go about choosing the Right Outsourcing
Partner could be ::
1) The basic point to be looked at is whether
one outsourcer can serve all of your current needs or not.
The offshore outsourcer's products
and the offshore outsourcing services
offered by the vendor need to be thoroughly studied before
going ahead with the basics of the deal. After all, it’s already
difficult in general for a mid-sized firm to squeeze up economies
of scale and chopping up the work further doesn’t help.
2) Can the offshore partner grow with its client? Many
mid-sized firms don’t think about it much, but they need to
be sure that their outsourcing partner will be able to handle
their needs in two to three years, particularly if the client
expects substantial growth. The result is they will need a
new vendor. One result of this is that some mid-sized firms’
Outsourcing costs haven’t declined, and in fact, have started
to rise.
3) The offshore
outsourcing model of the vendor: This needs to
be equally evaluated before allotting the work to any company,
as offshore outsourcing model of the company speaks largely
about the process that will be followed and the quality levels
practiced by the company on projects.
A few large-scale Outsourcing service providers
are also trying to target the middle market, offering more
operational scale and stability than smaller players can.
Clearly, the path to outsourcing success in the middle market
seems to be been exercised in a bit of rough environment.
But for the firms that want to explore that track, the rewards
can make the effort worthwhile.
